Finding the right backpack for yourself isn’t an easy task. I’ve come across and used several backpacks myself, and to be honest, I like only a few of them. Now if you’re looking for a new backpack for your next trip, then you’re on the right page. Today, I’ll run you through a recent backpack I’ve used in this Nayo Almighty backpack review. It’s very close to a perfect backpack you’ve dreamed of, with loads of great features and minimal, modern design. But I’ll also tell you what I didn’t like about this bag, so you can decide for yourself whether this backpack is for you.
First off, the Nayo Almighty is one of the many backpacks designed by the innovative startup team at NayoSmart. You can check them out in their official website here. The backpack models are tailored for different purposes, like for business trips, anti-theft designs, large capacity and more. Nayo Almighty belongs to the Large Capacity category.

Nayo Almighty Features
Specs of Backpack
Before anything else, let’s take a look at the size of the Nayo Almighty backpacks. When you’re shopping at their website, you will be able to choose from two different sized – Medium or Large.
The medium-sized backpack has 25L capacity, a weight of 1.2kg, and a dimension of 46cm x 16cm x 32cm.
The large-sized one has 32L capacity, a weight of 1.5kg, and a dimension of 51cm x 17cm x 35cm.
Both of these backpacks can be carried onto the airplane since it’s eligible for the dimensions for carry-on bags.
The large capacity also makes the Nayo Almighty backpacks an ideal choice for a 3-5 days trip, or simply a business trip. There are compartments for everything you’ll need to bring, but we’ll talk about that later.
The backpacks also have a metal handle to make it more comfortable carrying them around.
The Materials of the Backpack
The first question you might ask is whether the backpack is waterproof. The answer to that is yes, I’ve tested it myself so I can assure you that as long as you don’t drench your backpack in heavy rain, your belongings will not get wetted.
What I did was spray the bag with a waterpipe for 3 seconds, and leave it for 15 minutes. After that, I checked the interior layer of the backpack and there weren’t any moistures.
The material used for the outer layer of the backpack is high tenacity 600D polyester with waterproof polyurethane coating. I don’t really know much about these materials thing, but I can assure you that the whole backpack doesn’t look cheap at all. The materials’ quality is top-notch.
So yea, the Nayo Almighty backpack is waterproof.

The Multiple Compartments in Nayo Almighty Backpack
The multiple compartments feature is certainly the thing I love the most about this backpack. I’m a very organized person myself, and I really hate getting things mixed up. I really hate putting my camera, journal, and umbrella in the same compartment.
But with this backpack, I’ll never have to worry about that anymore. There are compartments for laptops, tablets, clothing, water bottles, notebooks, and some travel accessories individually. It’ so satisfying. Did I mention that the water bottle pocket has an insulation layer on it?
The backpack also comes with an accessory bag and toiletries bag, with velcro so that you can hold the bags in place inside the main compartment. It’s kinda hard to explain so here’s how it looks like.

External USB Charging Port
Now, this is a fancy feature of Nayo Almighty backpack. The charging port is a built-in solid port attached to the side of the backpack. You can’t remove it, as far as I know.
From the interior of the backpack, there is a cable connecting the charging port with a USB end. Connect your power bank with the USB end, and connect your phone to the charging port at the side of the backpack with another cable. It keeps your phone within reach while charging whenever you’re outside.
The only downside about this feature is the safety concerns, your phone might get snatched if you’re not careful enough.
It Can Be Opened Like a Suitcase
The zip of the main compartment goes all the way down to the bottom of the backpack’s sides. Fully unzipping the main compartment will open the backpack like a suitcase, making it much easier and convenient to pack your stuff in.
Most of the time, you don’t need to open the backpack like that, since you don’t really carry that many things out on a daily basis. This feature is only useful when you’re going for a multiple-days’ trip. But still, it’s a good feature to have!
What I Love About Nayo Almighty Backpack
The Design
Minimalism is the king of design nowadays, and NayoSmart nailed it well. All their backpacks have a sleek and minimal design, which caught my attention quickly.
It also feels good to carry it around because of how cool it looks. Again, every part of the backpack doesn’t look or feel cheap at all.
The Padding of the Backpack
One of the best features of this backpack is the thick paddings inside the backpack. The paddings made me feel safe to slide my laptop into the compartment vertically without having to worry about damaging it.
Nayo Almighty also features a 12mm EVA molded paddings on the straps and back, making it much comfortable carrying it around. The sternum strap also helps to spread the weight more efficiently. No more back pain carrying your heavy backpack around!
The only thing is that there is not enough padding at the bottom part of the backpack. But it’s really not a big deal.
The Hidden Safety Pockets
There are several hidden pockets in this backpack that escaped my sight when I first examine the backpack. And I think those are pretty good for storing important documents like travel passport and cash.
Have a look at the photo above. See the horizontal strap, which is used to strap on the hardcase luggage? Behind it, there’s a zip for the safety pocket. Pretty cool, right?

What I Didn’t Like About Nayo Almighty Backpack
The Ventilation
While I love the paddings of the backpack, it sometimes annoys me because of the bad ventilation which causes sweating.
I live in Malaysia, where the weather is tropical all-year-round. The humid and hot weather makes it very easy to sweat. Unfortunately, the paddings retain the warmth of my back very easily and made me sweat quickly.
I’m pretty sure this issue will not be a concern if I live in colder countries or spend most of the time in air-conditioned rooms. But this backpack is not an ideal choice for hiking in tropical countries.
The Large-Sized Backpack Is Too Big For Me
Now, this is totally personal, and it’s solely my mistake. I got myself a large-sized instead of a medium-sized one, but I was way smaller than I thought. The backpack is very big for me, and it seems a little weird to carry the backpack out.
If you’re getting yourself a Nayo Almighty, be sure to think twice before choosing the right size. My height is 168cm, and I’m sure the medium-sized one will suit me much better.
The Packing For Shipping
My first impression on the backpack wasn’t that good because of the packaging. It was packed in a black plastic bag, with a layer of white zip bag wrapping the backpack. To get a better picture, here’s the photo.
I was expecting the backpack to be shipped in a box. However, my backpack arrived safely without any damage so I think I’m cool with that.
Should You Get a Nayo Almighty Backpack?
To be honest, Nayo Almighty backpack is not for everyone. But if you’re considering to get one, here are my suggestions.
